THE IDEOLOGY THAT LEADS TO PAIN AND SUFFERING
For decades, while the populace of the World wasn’t looking, the edifice of World ruin was built by flawed concepts and ideas. These concepts and ideas started entering this country in the late eighteen hundreds and early nineteen hundreds. Because of the policies and actions of people in power using these concepts and ideas, we will see suffering on a world scale and if things continue on the course that they are on now we will see wars, government overthrows and possibly World War III.
PAUL RECEIVES (Speaking in Tongues Part IV)
The early Christian Church was persecuted so that Christians fled their homes to save themselves from prison and death. One of the most zealous people persecuting the Church was Saul. Saul was the epitome of one following the Law of Moses. Saul kept the whole law, a task that was and is nearly impossible. I can see how his zealousness could have overlapped into persecution of the Church. All he knew at the time was the Law and anything contrary to it, to him, couldn’t be right. So, here he was dragging men and women from their homes and throwing them in prison. He approved of stoning Stephen, a disciple of Jesus Christ and he continued to destroy the Church.
SPEAKING IN TONGUES PART III
There are five accounts of people believing the truth of God’s Word, being born again AND speaking in tongues in the Book of Acts. The first was on the day of Pentecost, which was handled in part II. So, we are now going to study the second account of speaking in tongues which occurs in Acts chapter eight
BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE
I emailed a friend today to find out how he was doing. In my email I encouraged him to be strong and of a good courage. I did it in a couple of lines but because of these times that we find ourselves I think it would be good to expound on “be strong and of good courage.”
SPEAKING IN TONGUES PART II
In part one we explored the benefits of speaking in tongues. In this writing we will start looking at the records of speaking in tongues found in the Bible. The first record of speaking in tongues is in Acts chapter two.
THE “EXCELLENT SPIRIT” OF DANIEL 6:3
When studying God’s Word, the Bible, we must adhere to the principles of biblical research to accurately interpret it. In second Peter it tells us who can give the interpretation of scripture.
II Peter 1: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Do you see what it says? There is no “ private” interpretation. “Private”, Greek word – idios, means one’s own or private interpretation. Then, that being the case, no one has the right or license to give their own interpretation of the Bible. Then either the Bible interprets itself or else there is no interpretation. If the Bible is the Word of God then wouldn’t God protect it and give us principles to understanding His Word? That is a good question and the answer is – yes He did set it up so that we can understand it.
DOES EVERYTHING HAPPEN FOR A REASON?
I am interrupting my series on Speaking in Tongues to write this article. The reason for this is that I have been hearing “everything happens for a reason” over and over again. People use this with the sincerity and conviction in their mind that a higher power, that rules over all, makes those decisions for you and THAT is why everything happens for a reason. You know, every time I hear that used it is always when something negative happens. What they should be saying is that God willed it to happen or it was divinely determined.
THE BENEFITS OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES
Over The course of the years speaking in tongues has become some what of a mystery to most Christians if not considered ridiculous. Some denominations believe it is not available to the Christian today, some believe there is no benefit to speaking in tongues while other denominations not only believe in speaking in tongues but go way beyond what would be considered sane behavior to the point that people are doing all manner of craziness while purportedly speaking in tongues. So, you see there is immeasurable confusion regarding the subject of speaking in tongues. With so much confusion perhaps it would be best to go back to the source on speaking in tongues and see what it really says. That source would be the Bible.
ABOUND IN THE WORK OF THE LORD
There is much talk about going to Heaven and that you have to work to get there. I want to tell you that that is a lie! Religion and men greedy for power have promulgated this for centuries to be able to keep control on the Christians and then men unwilling to study to show themselves approved unto God (II Timothy 2:15) have continued this heresy. Dante’s Inferno is a lie. Purgatory is a lie. Working for salvation is a lie. The truth is much more exciting and liberating (John 8:32).
UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CAUSE AND SYMPTOMS
Do you feel the same way I do? I, as a citizen of the United States, stand dumb founded at the shear insanity, greed and corruption that is going on at the highest levels of our government and financial markets. People, angry at the system, are starting to lash out in frustration. Iceland and Greece with their riots Much of this economic misery that we are and will continue to experience is unnecessary.
