WHY NOT BE LIKE THE BLUE ANGELS WHEN IT COMES TO THE BIBLE?

Do you know how all of these people did all of these wonderful things? They studied and practiced long hard hours. Why don’t we see the same things in the Christian Churches?
I have yet to see a person in the pulpit that can put the Word together. By that I mean that they can explain the seeming contradictions. They wallow in tradition and the trends of the hour rather than the knowledge and wisdom of eternity.

CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE

Over and over again in the Bible men of God have stood against tremendous odds endangering their lives to confront first Israel and then the Christians to come back to God and His Word. There are two records that are reflective of the efforts of the men and women of God through out the ages to bring God’s people back from their errant ways into the light of the knowledge of God.

ARE YOU IN THE SAME MIND FRAME AS MY SISTER?

“ I am so emotional. I was in an emotional rut for the first half of the year and didn’t sell anything. I am selling stuff now but I am afraid the economy is going to get worse and I can’t go back to physical labor. I am not trained to be a secretary. I don’t know what I am going to do.”

PSALM 103

Psalm 103:1 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Notice it doesn’t say “remember all of his benefits.” We couldn’t possibly remember them all.

WHERE ARE OUR ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES?

I”m at a loss. Perhaps someone could help me in my quandary. Where I am lost is in the happenings of the past few months with Wall Street and our money. No, it is not with the Dow dropping five hundred points in a day, although that is quite something. Actually, there are a lot of things that have gone on over the past few months that one could be at a loss for answers. Things like all of the banks that have failed, the choice of Presidential candidates (although I am at a loss on why these two candidates I have a bigger problem and concern,) I could be questioning the hurricanes, the price of oil, the drop in the price of gold, etc. etc. etc.. But, I am not thinking about those things. NOPE! I am wondering where the Federal Reserve got the authority to lend money to private istitutions AND where the Government got the authority to Nationalize companies and double the National Debt OVERNIGHT!!!

EVERYBODY IS A SLAVE BUT IT IS YOUR CHOICE WHO YOU WILL SERVE

Did you know that the word “slave” is not in the Bible? The only time it is used is in Jeremiah 2:14. If you look that up in a King James Bible you will see it is in Italics. The reason it is italics is because the King James version of the Bible has the words that men added, usually to complete a thought during translation, in italics. The word “slave” was not in existence until middle 1200 A.D.. It came about because the Slavic people were the ones being made captive servants. The Bible calls people servants.

THE COMMITMENT TO BELIEVE GOD (Part III)

10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.
11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.
12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king’s decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.
13 Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.
14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.
15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.
16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

THE COMMITMENT TO BELIEVE GOD (Part Two)

Last week we read about Daniel and his calm in asking God for the answer so that he and many others would not be executed. The only answer that could save them was an answer from God and the only way to get that answer was a total commitment to God. This week we look at Meshach, Shadrach and Abendego and their stand for the One True God.

THE HOPE OF CHRIST’S RETURN

Hope is the anchor of the soul. It is what keeps us on track when we are weary, it keeps us going in the hard times. When a person is tired of classes at school it is the hope of graduating that keeps him/her going. When someone is on a long trip it is either the hope of the completion of that trip or the hope of seeing loved ones that keeps him going. So, it is with life. Knowing that Christ is coming back and knowing that we will have much more than what we have here on earth will keep us going not just surviving day by day But living with and for the One True God
