THE COMMITMENT TO BELIEVE GOD (Part Two)

Last week we read about Daniel and his calm in asking God for the answer so that he and many others would not be executed. The only answer that could save them was an answer from God and the only way to get that answer was a total commitment to God. This week we look at Meshach, Shadrach and Abendego and their stand for the One True God.

THE HOPE OF CHRIST’S RETURN

Hope is the anchor of the soul. It is what keeps us on track when we are weary, it keeps us going in the hard times. When a person is tired of classes at school it is the hope of graduating that keeps him/her going. When someone is on a long trip it is either the hope of the completion of that trip or the hope of seeing loved ones that keeps him going. So, it is with life. Knowing that Christ is coming back and knowing that we will have much more than what we have here on earth will keep us going not just surviving day by day But living with and for the One True God

THE CONDITIONS FOR A PROSPEROUS LIFE

They look for apparent contradictions to justify their position and they hinder anyone who wants to read the Bible for truth and application.

Gospels vs. Pauline Epistles

Have you ever thought of how much power the Christians have in the world today? If you ask most people they would say, none. There is one major reason for this. Most Christians and Christian Churches are stuck reading the Gospels and the Old Testament. This isn’t bad, but without knowing WHAT came after Christ ascended into heaven the Christian WILL be powerless. Why? Because, that which was made available after Christ’s ascension, because of Christ’s death, resurrection and ascension, was not available before AND not explained in the Gospels or the Old Testament.

PSALM 73

Some times we are envious of what others might have and wish we, too, could have what they have. Asaph the Chief Musician in the House of the Lord during the time of David King of Israel had this problem, too. Even though he had a high position in Israel and had food and clothes it wasn’t enough for him. Not until he changed his focus did he realized how wrong he had been because what awaited him was far more than the riches of the time.
