TWO TYPES OF WISDOM

The Bible was not written for atheists, agnostics and unbelievers. It was written for those who want to
believe!
You see, the physical things around you every day, the land, the oceans, the sky, people, animals, stars,
etc., but, you don’t see what made them because that which made all of the things that you see is
invisible.
2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV)
18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things
which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
What’s not seen? GOD, Jesus Christ, angels and the spirit that resides in every born-again believer. In
other words, the spiritual things. The natural things were made by the spiritual. Spiritual things cannot
be seen, smelled, touched, heard or tasted. So, it is by believing the Bible that one gains access to holy
spirit and the wisdom there in. That is why there is so much controversy in the World today concerning
the authenticity, the accuracy and the authority of the Bible. Some people believe and some don’t. Look
at Acts chapter thirteen.
Acts 13:45-47 (KJV)
45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things
which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have
been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo,
we turn to the Gentiles.
47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou
shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
I have shared the Word of God (the Bible) with people, in the past and some of them laughed, some
even mocked me, but, look at what it says in verse forty-six. Those that spoke against the teachings of
Paul, the teachings of Christianity judged themselves unworthy of eternal life!
In I Corinthians chapters one and two God again lays it out very simply. The knowledge of this World, all
the philosophers and all the Ph.Ds. in all the colleges and universities cannot know the spiritual side of
things unless they are born-again ( Rom.10:9,10..)
1 Corinthians 1:17-31 (KJV)
17 For Christ sent me (Paul) not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the
cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is
the power of God.
19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of
the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish
the wisdom of this world?21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the
foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of
God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not
many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the
weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which
are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and
sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 2:1-8 (KJV)
1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom,
declaring unto you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor
of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained
before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have
crucified the Lord of glory.
God kept secret from before the foundation of the World, what would happen if the Devil had
Jesus Christ crucified. If it had been known the Jewish leadership under the direction of the
Devil would not have crucified Jesus Christ. Adam transferred the rulership that God gave him
over to the Devil when he, Adam, ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Jesus
Christ was not the property of the Devil because he was the Son of God and not the son of Adam
and he lived a sinless life. The Devil had no right to have Jesus Christ crucified. When he had
Jesus Christ crucified he overstepped his authority. So, by his death Jesus Christ paid for the sins
of all mankind. By his resurrection and ascension Jesus Christ made it available for anyone who
believes to become a child of God.
1 John 3:2 (KJV)
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that,
when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.Ephesians 2:1-9 (KJV)
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince
of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling
the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are
saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness
toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Let’s go back and read some more from I Corinthians and the two types of wisdom.
1 Corinthians 2:9-14 (KJV)
9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the
things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep
things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things
of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know
the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost
teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him:
neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV)
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the
glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
The things of the Bible are foolishness to the natural man because they have no spiritual perception, no
spiritual awareness, no spirit thus they are without God in this World. Christians have given so much by
God that we should be excited to share the Word of God with others. We as Christians and believers
have a responsibility to speak God’s Word to a sick and dying World. We are not responsible for their
reaction.
1 Thessalonians 2:13 (KJV)
13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which
ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which
effectually worketh also in you that believe.
