LOVE

The badge of Christianity is love. No one else can love like a Christian can love. The reason for this is that the Christian has Christ in them.
Colossians 1: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
There are two types of love described in the Bible the first is the Greek word “phileo”. It could be translated into English as “brotherly love”. It is the love where I love you because you first did something for me. But, there is a greater love, a love that does not pick favorites and that has the ability to love the unlovable.

Matthew 5: 43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
The Greek word for this kind of love is “agape” or “agapao”. It is translated love but is better or more literally translated “the love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation”. V.P. Weirwille
The greatness of this love is shown in John 3:16
John 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The Christian is capable of this type of unselfish love.
II Timothy 1: 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
The second part of that literal translation is in the renewed mind.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
To renew your mind you must study the Bible. Not what a man or a denomination or church group says but what the Bible says. There are many things that people say the Bible says but, in fact, the Bible says no such thing. A good example of this is the often used phrase “God helps those who help themselves.” First that is not true God helps those who believe His Word and go to Him for help and second that phrase is not in the Bible but came from a movie starring James Dean.
The third part of that literal translation is “in manifestation”. Manifestation means that you do something. You act on what you have learned. You can study for a life time but until you start acting on the information that you have learned it is not love.
So there you have it. You can love with the love of God by 1) getting born again of God’s spirit (Romans 10:9&10). You can learn about what you have and how to love by studying God’s Word, the Bible and you can manifest it to a world that is dieing and in desperate need of love. It is up to you. You make that decision.
God has no hands but our hands with which to feed them bread
He has no feet but our feet in which to walk among the almost dead
We say that we are his and he is ours
Deeds are the proof of this, not words
And these are the proving hours.
