LET’S GET IT STRAIGHT!

The world has come to the point that the Christians are scared of God and that the non-Christians have no second thoughts in laughing at the Christian and at God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. This is much like trying to drive a horse and buggy backwards or for a farmer to live in the barn while the cows are in the house. It is insanity. The proper attitude for the Christian is love and respect for our loving heavenly Father while the unbelievers should be the ones that are afraid of our God and the Christian because God is on OUR SIDE

It seems to me that the Christian Church has gotten it all wrong over the past fifty years. When I say the “Christian Church” I mean every denomination from the Roman Catholics to the Pentecostals. We have been living in attitude that we should be afraid of God and that we should bend to the will of other religions. We have even come to the point that some in the Roman Catholic Church think that we should be praying to Allah. The proper attitude for the Christian is love and respect for our loving heavenly Father while the unbelievers should be the ones that are afraid of our God and the Christian because God is on OUR SIDE. Not the Muslims, not the Hindus, not the Buhdists or the Communists or the agnostics or atheists GOD IS ON OUR SIDE. How do I know this because the Bible tells me so.
You may think that is childish and simplistic but I am committed to fact that the Bible is the revealed Word and Will of God! Muslims by the droves are signing up to strap bombs to their bodies and blow themselves up along with as many men, women and children as they can take with them. It is time that the Christians in the World start taking a stand for what they believe in. How many people in the United States have carried a Bible down the street and tried to cover it up because they are embarrassed? How many Christians spend their time watching TV and thinking that Sunday morning or Saturday for a couple of hours is enough time to think about God? God wants us remember Him all the time! We cannot get the results, the signs miracles and wonders that we have a right to if we #1 don’t know the Word and #2 don’t believe it. The subject of who should fear (reverence) God and who should fear (dread) God is an excellent example.
In Genesis 9:1 God tells Noah that the fear (dread) and dread (terror) of him and his sons (children) shall be upon the beasts.
Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
Look at the record of God, Moses and Aaron bringing the children of Israel out of Egypt How many plagues were upon the people of Egypt? Ten! And do you know why? Because Pharaoh wouldn’t let the Children of Israel Go? Yes, but that was the effect the cause is recorded in Exodus 9:30 But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear (dread) the LORD God. Pharaoh could have saved Egypt the immeasurable suffering by doing just one thing, fear the God of Moses and of the Children of Israel. If he was afraid of God he would have let the Children of Israel go the very first time Moses came and said “let my people go”.
In Exodus 15 is the record of God’s delivering Israel from the army of Egypt.
Exodus 15:7-18
7 And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.
8 And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.
9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
10 Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
11 Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.
13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.
14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.
15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.
16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O LORD, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.
17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.
18 The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.
God specifically tells the Children of Israel to fear (reverence) Him and to keep His commandments.
Deuteronomy 6:24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear (reverence) the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.
Deuteronomy 10: 12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD’S thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
15 Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.
16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:
18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
20 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.
Deuteronomy 11: 18 Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
19 And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
20 And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
23 Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
24 Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
25 There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
God’s promise to Israel was the promised land. It was God’s right to give it to whom He wished It was is and will continue to be Israel’s as long as this world is here. The promise to the Christian is heaven. We don’t fight for a piece of ground because this world is not our home. But, and that is a BIG BUT, Christians have more than the Children of Israel ever had or ever will have. God’s promises to us are greater than His promises to Israel. We have more and so we should manifest more in this world.
Romans 8: 28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
II Timothy 1: 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Did Jesus preach love? Yes. Did Paul preach love? Yes. Did Peter preach love? Yes. But don’t confuse love with being a door mat for the ungodly to wipe their feet on you. In
Romans12:18 it says: If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Do you see that it says “If it is possible”? Some times it is not possible and we have to fight for our lives or for our families or even for our country.
Western civilization was built by Christian men and women it is being lost because the Christian men and women of today have lost sight of promises of God, the glory of God and the fact that God is with us. He is our shield and buckler and our exceeding great reward.
