GOD’S PROSPERITY FOR YOU or THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART

Romans 8:17-18 (KJV)
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him,
that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory
which shall be revealed in us.
When everything in your life is going well it is easy to look at this verse and nod your head in agreement.
But, when life has dealt you a hard blow and you are reeling from the pain and anguish it is hard to see
past the state you are in. Sometimes you need to grieve. Sometimes you need to change your
circumstances as soon as possible. This article is to help you to get out of the situation you are in and get
God’s deliverance in your life.
Doubt, worry and fear are enemies of confidence, trust and believing. They are on opposite sides, they
are antithetical. They are in absolute opposition to each other. You either do one or you do the other.
You can’t do both. So, this means that when you believe God will deliver you won’t doubt it. You won’t
worry about it and you won’t fear the outcome. It may take awhile to get to the place that you believe,
but, it can be done because according to God all things are possible.
Mark 10:27 (KJV)
27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things
are possible.
Let me teach you how to change your mind and in so doing BELIEVE. You change your mind by changing
what you are mentally chewing on. If you/your mind is dwelling on the things of the past or of the
predicament you find yourself in then stop! Stop what you are thinking and make your mind think
thoughts of deliverance. Get a clear picture of what you want and don’t let the negative thoughts start
up again or/and take one of the promises from God’s Word and keep repeating it until your mind
changes and you can hold that thought. If the negative thoughts start up again STOP and start the
process over again. Your deliverance, as a Christian, is in the promises of God’s Word.
God’s will for your life is clear.
3 John 1:2 (KJV)
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth.
But, we have to change our thinking to appropriate it.
Romans 12:2 (KJV)
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may
prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
When we put God first in our lives God will bring us up and out of the problems we find ourselves in.Psalm 37:4-6 (KJV)
4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
The Apostle Paul had everything going for him, a good education, a good job, status in the community, a
family, but, he lost it all when he became a Christian and devoted his life to God. Even though he lost
everything he treasured in the physical realm he set his sights on Heaven and the things of God and
moved forward.
Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things
which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
The Apostle Paul had it figured out. The things that are past are past. All we can do is move forward. It is
the same way in navigation. Once you pass a point or landmark you forget that one because it is behind
and move on to the next.
Another integral part of getting your deliverance is prayer.
1 Peter 5:6-7 (KJV)
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
The way you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God is by casting ALL your cares on Him.
Humbling yourself before God is not some big religious undertaking. It is knowing that you can’t do it by
yourself and you, instead, give it to God for him to take care of. You have your job God has His. The best
thing we can do is not confuse our job descriptions.
I want to show you Joshua chapter one. Moses had died and the Children of Israel mourned for forty
days then it was time for them to move out, so, God gave the leadership to Joshua and told him three
times that He, God, would be with Joshua.
Joshua 1:1-7 (KJV)
1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake
unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people,
unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said
unto Moses.
4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the
land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with
Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the
land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the
law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left,
that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
God tells us the same thing.
Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath
said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
There was a man that needed deliverance for his son and he hadn’t been able to get it from the religious
leaders or Jesus’ disciples. When he confronted Jesus Jesus knew what the problem was. The man
needed to believe. He still had doubt, worry and fear in his heart and mind. Jesus brought the man back
around so that the man could finally say “I believe, help me get rid of the doubt, worry and fear in my
life.” With that he got to the place where he believed and got deliverance for his son and himself.
Mark 9:14-27 (KJV)
14 And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes
questioning with them.
15 And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to
him saluted him.
16 And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?
17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which
hath a dumb spirit;
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth,
and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long
shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he
fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst
do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help
thou mine unbelief.
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto
him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead;
insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.God tells us time and time again that He loves us, that the Christians are His children, that He
will never leave us or forsake us, that we are more than conquerors in every situation. By not
focusing on where we are, but, where we want to be; by getting those promises from God’s
Word in your heart and life, by praying and casting all your care on Him; you are guaranteed
success in this life and deliverance from the clouds of doubt, worry and fear.
Ephesians 1:18-19 (KJV)
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling,
and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of
his mighty power,
