One has had her hours at work cut. She is single and now can’t even pay her rent. One couple had a company, that was supposed to be helping them, steel all the money out of their bank account. Another can’t pay for their children’s swim lessons. And it goes on. There are many more stories out there of not so merry times. People in these circumstances tend to look at the circumstances that surround them. It is only natural but is it the best thing to be doing? Is it the right thing to do? Our culture would have us to believe that we should fear because there is no help to be had. That the circumstances are too big to overcome. It was a warm and sunny day, the birds were singing and the flowers were putting on a show of color and fragrance for us. It was stupendous! It was at about the halfway point that I noticed two houses that were vacant and starting to deteriorate. The gutters were falling off the weeds were high all around the house and a window was broken out of one of them. You know, when you’re out riding a horse for three or four hours there is not much for your mind to do, you butt yes, your mind, no. So, I had plenty of time to think about those houses and came to a terrible conclusion. The banks will let them and the millions like them rot to nothing! HA, you say, this guy is nuts! Perhaps someone could help me in my quandary. Where I am lost is in the happenings of the past few months with Wall Street and our money. No, it is not with the Dow dropping five hundred points in a day, although that is quite something. Actually, there are a lot of things that have gone on over the past few months that one could be at a loss for answers. Things like all of the banks that have failed, the choice of Presidential candidates (although I am at a loss on why these two candidates I have a bigger problem and concern,) I could be questioning the hurricanes, the price of oil, the drop in the price of gold, etc. etc. etc..
