Gospels vs. Pauline Epistles
Have you ever thought of how much power the Christians have in the world today? If you ask most people they would say, none. There is one major reason for this. Most Christians and Christian Churches are stuck reading the Gospels and the Old Testament. This isn’t bad, but without knowing WHAT came after Christ ascended into heaven the Christian WILL be powerless. Why? Because, that which was made available after Christ’s ascension, because of Christ’s death, resurrection and ascension, was not available before AND not explained in the Gospels or the Old Testament.
IF YOU DON’T BOW YOU WON’T BURN
There is a record in the book of Daniel that I want to share with you. Israel and specifically Jerusalem was besieged and overrun by the armies of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. As part of the spoil that was taken to Babylon were a number of children. Of all the children taken there stood out four, Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah that were smarter and better looking than all the rest. These four Nebuchadnezzar named Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They were given a special place/position and privilege in the kingdom of Babylon.
WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY?
But has all of this come at a price that is too costly to us as individuals and us as a nation? I would say yes. What we have gained in material objects we have lost in things that cannot be measured. On an individual basis some of those things lost are love, joy, happiness and peace. As a society we have lost our moral compass along with our safety.
BE NOT CONFORMED
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART?
So many times through the years I have heard “follow your heart” or ”do what your heart tells you”. How many of you know what God says about the heart of a man or a woman? In this day and time everything is so sweet and mushy and everybody can just follow their heart. Well God’s view of man’s heart is all together different than that and if you want to walk with God you have to know the truth about the heart.
HOW BIG IS YOUR GOD?
I was reading a section out of Numbers chapter 13 when it hit me like a rock right between the eyes. I had turned away from God! Yes, me who write about God, His Word (living and written) and how to walk with Him. How had it come to this? What had happened and why?

As I have said in the past, the human brain works much like a computer works. If I design a program that reaches a conclusion that 1 + 1 = 3 then I will continuously get the same conclusion until I fix the problem with the program. So too, the thoughts that we have; they are the product of our programming. By changing your programming you will change the thoughts that your mind produces. This means that we can be happier without changing anything around us.
RUNNING ON EMPTY
Have you ever had an experience were you needed an answer, deliverance from a situation but the answer wasn’t there? You had your own philosophy of how things should work but when it came right down to it you didn’t have the what it took to be the super conqueror that it talks about in Romans chapter eight. The best thing is a heaping helping of the accuracy of God’s Word, the Bible, which gives us the knowledge ability and strength to succeed
LET’S GET IT STRAIGHT!
The world has come to the point that the Christians are scared of God and that the non-Christians have no second thoughts in laughing at the Christian and at God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. This is much like trying to drive a horse and buggy backwards or for a farmer to live in the barn while the cows are in the house. It is insanity. The proper attitude for the Christian is love and respect for our loving heavenly Father while the unbelievers should be the ones that are afraid of our God and the Christian because God is on OUR SIDE
FEAR NOT
Many people believe God to be a wrathful God, a Hell fire and brimstone God, and a vengeful God. But what does. I see and believe that God is a loving God, a caring God and the God of grace, mercy and peace. But it really doesn’t matter of what we think; it matters what God says
