BASKING IN THE GLORY OF HIS RESURRECTION

In less than two weeks we will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. During this time it would be a good to dwell on what happened during that time over two thousand years ago and bask in the greatness of what it means to us today.
God, the creator of the heavens and the Earth wanted not only to redeem mankind from the sin that started back in Genesis chapter three, remember Adam and Eve and the eating the apple thing, but, He wanted children, yes God wanted children even before the foundations of the World.
Ephesians 1:4-5 (KJV) 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
So, He devised a plan to pay the price for man to get out of the sin and iniquity that he was in and to have a new nature, to be something different from the rest of the World.
1 Peter 2:9-10 (KJV) 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
The price had to be paid with blood
Hebrews 10:4 (KJV) 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Hebrews 10:10 (KJV) 10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
and the person that paid it had to be sinless, otherwise he would be part of the world and not able to redeem mankind. It would be similar to buying a dozen donuts by using one of the dozen to pay for the rest. It doesn’t work that way. Whoever paid the price had to be outside the box. (sinless blood)
Matthew 27:3-4 (KJV) 3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, 4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood.
Hebrews 4:15 (KJV) 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
So the process of bringing God’s redeemer into the world took thousands of years to develop. But, one day a young lady believed God
Luke 1:28-33 (KJV) 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Luke 1:38 (KJV) 38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.
and brought forth God’s redeemer, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ walked a sinless walk here on Earth and finally fulfilled the plan that God had devised so long ago. God allowed His arch enemy, the devil, to kill our Lord and Savior.
1 Corinthians 2:7-8 (KJV) 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Hebrews 2:14-15 (KJV) 14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
With that payment made, Jesus Christ lay in the grave for three days and three nights thus fulfilling the requirement that a body be in the grave three days and three nights to be declared dead. Then the three greatest words ever spoken were uttered by the angel “HE-IS-RISEN.”
With God’s master plan accomplished it was only a matter of time until the day of Pentecost when it was available for anyone to walk into the grace, glory, power and majesty of being a child of God.
Romans 10:9-11 (KJV) 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
1 John 3:2 (KJV) 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
With that we have access to complete health,
1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
we have the assurance that we are going to heaven
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (KJV) 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
we have direct access to talk with God,
Hebrews 4:16 (KJV) 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV) 6 Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let
your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
we can be and should be and will be, by our believing, more than conquerors in every situation
Romans 8:37 (KJV) 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
1 John 4:4 (KJV) 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
So, over the next two weeks bask in the glorious light of who you are, a child of God, by all that Jesus Christ accomplished.
Colossians 3:15 (KJV) 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
